Conceived in 1721 by Deacon Montieri, this is one of the rarest Tarot decks in the world, since most of them were burned by order of the ecclesiastical authorities. The deck sticks to the reduced number of cards as in the Bolognese variant and has no illustrations, but rather Montieri's signs and annotations on society, politics and geography of the 18th century.
